First 10 minutes

Start with a zone, not a manual

Costa Nostra is learned by playing: choose a family, claim a protected zone, and the Consigliere guides you through production, laundering, missions and expansion without blocking the screen.

01

Found your family

Pick one of four factions with distinct advantages. That choice shapes your growth style from signup.

02

Claim a zone

Your first base produces DM every hour, houses troops and sends out your operations.

03

Launder, build and recruit

Turn DM into CM, raise buildings and recruit street, intelligence or legal staff around your plan.

04

Pull the strings

Run PvE missions, read the map, bribe contacts and prepare expansion once you have strength.

New-player protection prevents attacks during your first 72 hours. Learn the economy loop and set up defenses before open war reaches you.

New card game

La Triada brings the empire’s pressure to a 3x3 table

Inspired by Final Fantasy VIII’s Triple Triad, La Triada uses side-value capture on Costa Nostra’s own 3x3 table: 10-card decks, PvE rivals and PvP challenges with Clean Money held until the match resolves.

Real English table from the marco_vesper account: PvE rivals, reward and active deck.

How the table is won

01

Active 10-card deck

Choose cards from your collection, including duplicates if you own them. Each match deals a random hand of 5.

02

Capture on four sides

When you place a card, its top, right, bottom and left values compare against adjacent rival cards.

03

Score by control

When the board fills or a hand runs out, the player controlling more cards on the table wins.

04

Rewards without breaking strategy

PvE grants cards and Clean Money; PvP uses escrow so the wager stays safe until the result.

What is Costa Nostra

Costa Nostra is a criminal strategy MMO you play in your browser. You found a family, claim your first zone and build an empire across production, money laundering, institutional corruption and territorial war.

There is no win button: there is a living map of Europe where every player pushes their shadow onto the others. Force opens doors, but paperwork keeps them open. You decide whether you rule by violence, by money, by information or by logistics.

A persistent browser strategy game: you give the orders and the world keeps running in real time, whether you’re online or not. Production lands every hour, operations run on timers and rivals never sleep.

Crime isn’t improvised. It’s managed.

Costa Nostra: mafia strategy, Cosa Nostra and organized crime

Claim zones, produce dirty money, launder it when you can and turn that capital into fronts, recruits and influence across Europe without installing anything.

Costa Nostra and Cosa Nostra

Costa Nostra is the game; Cosa Nostra remains a recognizable mafia reference, while the match plays through money, territory, contacts and police pressure.

Browser game

Play from your browser on desktop or mobile and issue orders in a world that keeps moving 24/7.

Mafia and organized crime game

Manage a family, control territory, post contracts and read the political map of crime before burning resources on violence.

White-collar crime

Money laundering, shell companies, audits, judges and legal contacts matter as much as brute force.

Your empire

Every zone is a board

The zone you stand in matters: it produces Dirty Money every hour, sends out your operations and shelters your forces. Climb from barrio to district, and from district to metropolis to multiply production, garrison and companies.

  • Hourly production
  • Local command desk
  • Defense and garrison

The pillars

An empire is built piece by piece

From your current zone you run it all: production, laundering, operations and corruption. Your position is your power.

Claim territory

Conquer adjacent zones across the map of Europe. Every operation leaves from the zone where you stand, and that zone produces money every hour.

Produce and launder money

Generate Dirty Money (DM) and turn it into Clean Money (CM). But beware: laundering leaves a trail and raises your Search Level.

Launch operations

Assault, conquer, spy, audit, sabotage, apply legal pressure, extort or move troops and DM between your zones.

Sign social contracts

Post jobs between families, reserve CM rewards and let other players accept sealed attack, intelligence or logistics work.

Read The Gazette

The newspaper turns foundings, conquests, raids, diplomacy and contracts into a public chronicle every player can use to read the city.

Weave your bribe network

Keep cops, tax inspectors, judges and politicians on the payroll. Spend favors and influence to cancel raids, audits and complaints.

Recruit your crew

13 profiles across three layers: street, intelligence and legal. Enforcers, hitmen, infiltrators, accountants, hackers, lawyers, front men…

Raise fronts and companies

Construct buildings and infrastructure and scale up to shell companies, holdings and offshore banks that launder on their own 24/7.

The double ledger

All money leaves a trail

The heart of Costa Nostra is a tension that never resolves: the money that gives you power is not the money that lets you build.

DM

Dirty Money

Produced every hour in your zones. Pays for attacks, spies and bribes — but you can’t invest it until you launder it.

CM

Clean Money

Only obtained by laundering DM. Builds structures, companies, defense troops and territory. You’ll never have enough.

Search Level

Every laundering run and every hit raises your Search Level. Too much and the raids come, production drops and your contacts burn.

Level up your front businesses to launder more efficiently, or let shell companies, holdings and offshore banks launder on their own — at the price of more police pressure.

Operations against rivals

Strike, spy, extort or bury them in paperwork

Your actions leave from the zone where you stand. The target can be a rival zone, a company, a route or your own network when you need to move money.

Daily agenda · PvE

The work never stops

Beyond the war between players, every day a board of missions against the environment awaits.

01

A fresh board each day, split across easy, medium, hard and very hard difficulty.

02

Collections, errands, smuggling, pressure and tolls that pay DM, CM and experience.

03

PvE doesn’t replace territory: it complements it. It funds your start and gives you air under police pressure.
