How your empire grows

Territory, money and power feed each other

First 10 minutes

Start with a zone, not a manual

Costa Nostra is learned by playing: choose a faction and the server assigns a protected neighborhood at random with room to grow. The Consigliere guides you without blocking the screen.

01

Found your family

Pick one of six factions with clear percentage-based modifiers. Availability depends on open starting territory.

02

Receive room to grow

The server assigns an eligible neighborhood with at least two open expansion routes; new players do not choose the exact point.

03

Launder, build and recruit

Turn DM into CM, raise buildings and recruit street, intelligence or legal staff around your plan.

04

Pull the strings

Run PvE missions, read the map, bribe contacts and prepare expansion once you have strength.

New-player protection prevents attacks during your first 72 hours. Learn the economy loop and set up defenses before open war reaches you.

Cards, duels and tournaments

La Triada brings the empire’s pressure to a 3x3 table

Prepare a 10-card deck, face PvE rivals, challenge other players and enter round-based tournaments for special prizes.

How the table is won

01

Active 10-card deck

Choose cards from your collection, including duplicates if you own them. Each match deals a random hand of 5.

02

Capture on four sides

When you place a card, its top, right, bottom and left values compare against adjacent rival cards.

03

Score by control

When the board fills or a hand runs out, the player controlling more cards on the table wins.

04

Rewards without breaking strategy

PvE grants cards and Clean Money; PvP uses escrow so the wager stays safe until the result.

How do I start playing?

Create your account and jump straight in from your browser. If you prefer, you can also use one of the downloadable clients.

Do I need to download anything?

No. The full game works in your browser, including on mobile. Downloadable clients are optional.

How much time do I need a day?

As much as you want. The economy runs 24/7 and daily missions reward short sessions, but war rewards consistency.

Do I have to choose a faction? Is it permanent?

Yes, you choose one of six available factions at signup. You can later change it with CN Coin; that change does not bypass territory rules.

Is it PvP or PvE?

Both. Territorial war between players (PvP) and a daily board of missions against the environment (PvE).

Are Costa Nostra and Cosa Nostra the same thing?

Costa Nostra is the name of the game. Cosa Nostra is a recognizable mafia reference and also appears as a family inside the game’s fictional universe.

Is Costa Nostra a browser mafia game?

Yes. You can manage a family, conquer territory, launder money and compete against other players in your browser or with an optional client.

Does it include organized crime and white-collar crime?

Yes. Beyond assaults and conquest, the game includes money laundering, shell companies, audits, legal pressure, bribes and institutional contacts.

Is La Triada inspired by Triple Triad?

Yes. La Triada is inspired by the 3x3 board and side-capture logic of Final Fantasy VIII’s Triple Triad, adapted to Costa Nostra with decks, PvE, PvP and its own rewards.

How does the 336-zone world work?

Europe and the Mediterranean has 132 zones, Japan 60 and Latin America 144. New players receive a random neighborhood with room to expand in their faction’s home region.

Do configurable notifications appear inside the game?

The configurable alerts are browser notifications. You choose categories and devices; the game never asks for permission on page load.

Is there a tutorial?

Yes. A step-by-step guide, the Consigliere, walks you through your first moves.

What stage is the game at?

Costa Nostra is in its first official season. This is the full game, with Europe, Japan and Latin America available from the start.
